Hey All

WEST COAST MODIFIED CHAMPIONSHIPS
With a lack of track time due to mechanical failure, this was the first chance for Luke to run the car in before the Canterbury Modified Champs. However as well as running in the car and getting some much needed track time there was a Championship at stake. Luke picked up where he left off last season with some incredible passes to finish 3rd, 1st and 1st to become the New West Coast Modified Champion.
1st 871c Luke Keegan
2nd 49c Maurice Headley
3rd 54gm Steve Thompson
CANTERBURY MODIFIED CHAMPIONSHIPS CHRISTCHURCH
This year 12 cars fronted to 2011 / 2012 Canterbury Modifieds with the Defending Champion Keegan drawing Grids 5, 10 and 2 for the night. Luke drove well with outstanding passing and aggression to finish 4th, 2nd and 1st.
However after three heats 4c Mike Gourley and Luke were tied on points for first place requiring a runoff. Luke was too quick in the runoff winning back to back Canterbury Modified Championships!
1st 871c Luke Keegan
2nd 4c Mike Gourley
3rd 5gm Brandon Parkinson
SOUTH ISLAND MODIFIEDS CHRISTCHURCH
This year 12 cars fronted to 2011 / 2012 South Island Modifieds at Woodford Glen. An extremely rough track provided some of the best Mod racing I have seen.
RACE 1: Luke drew grid 5 for the opening heat. With huge pace and pure aggression Luke stormed to second and begun his pursuit to catch the flying 49c Maurice Headley. After a caution for the rolled 13c David Thompson, Luke unleashed the 871c machine, passing 49c to take the lead. Luke then powered to victory to take maximum points from heat 1.
RACE 2: Again Luke had to start from mid pack (8th). Luke wasted no time, running along the wall around the entire track he passed 6 cars in just two laps!! However a caution for a spun car sent Luke back to 4th. On the restart Luke shot straight through the middle of two cars into turn 1 making it three wide!! Luke set out on catching the leader 5gm Brandon Parkinson. With Luke’s enormous pace he caught and passed 5gm around the outside! Luke then drove away to take one of the most impressive wins in His Modified Career.
FINAL: Luke continued his dominant run leading from the start. Luke persisted to run the highest possible line on the track clipping the wall numerous times! The final ran caution free allowing Luke to catch and lap the majority of the field. When Luke crossed the line to take the South Island Modified Championship, two cars remained on the lead lap. Congrats Luke and Team for an outstanding performance!
1st 871c Luke Keegan
2nd 24c Dan Rae
3rd 5gm Brandon Parkinson
GLEN EAGLES VS NELSON TIGERS
After a dominating opening round by the Canterbury Glen Eagles in Nelson, the stage was set for the much anticipated return clash. However due to injury from the previous encounter 71c Ricky Boulton was unable to compete in this round. This round was completely dominated by the Nelson Tigers who raced very well as a Team. Well Done to the Nelson Tigers (Shane, Dale, Ian, Jared and Blair).

Boulton Racing
Welcome back to another season of speedway. The off season has flown by yet again and we have already had a few meetings! Below is a brief update of Results, News, Upcoming Events and Changes at BRT. BRT SUPER SALOONS
Both the 891 and 881 cars have had some changes made in the off season which we are now getting the hang of. Our opening meetings ran trouble free with both drivers having great races setting good lap times and ending up second and third overall for the Trophy Challenge.
Josh has also had a run in Nelson last weekend. With the NZ Champs there in January we look to race there a few times before hand. Josh drove well placing second in race one and first in race two to end a great weekend for BRT.
871c LUKE KEEGAN
So far Luke Keegan and the 871c Machine have only had one race this season! Luke drove a great race starting from the back working his way up to forth in a very large and competitive class at Woodford Glen. After the race however a few faults were found which have put Luke out of action at this stage as this is out of our control. We hope to see Luke back on track soon.
861n RICKY BOULTON
Ricky has had two meetings in the Superstock this season. The first was a club night at Nelson which saw the 861n upside down. The following week was Teams racing, Nelson Tigers VS Canterbury Glen Eagles. Ricky put his hand up for the Glen Eagles who were struggling to get a Team together for round one in Nelson. The Glen Eagles may have been complete underdogs but they were incredible as a Team and pulled off a massive upset in Nelson destroying the Tigers! Well done to the entire Team (Peter, Shane, Nigel, Nick And Ricky)!! Bring On Round two!
CHANGES TO BRT
During the off season there have been a couple of changes here at BRT. Firstly we have bought and completed a single car trailer for our 891c car to allow Josh to compete out of town more often. We also would like to welcome Mike (Radar) to Our Team, he will be working as a spanner man on the 881c car. Welcome Radar!
